Microneedling

Skin needling, also known as Micro-needling therapy or collagen induction therapy is a minimally invasive skin-rejuvenation procedure that involves the use of a stainless steel device made of fine needles. Up to 80% of a product can penetrate skin after micro-needling compared to a mere 7% with normal application on intact skin.

We offer a range of vials which are raw materials with the state of the art technology of Monotherapy. Hyaluronic Acid (1%, 2% and 3.5%) Vitamin C (20% AA2G) – antioxidant for smokers, wrinkles, melasma and freckles. Argireline 10% & Leuphasyl 10%- treats expression lines and the formation of new ones. Matrixyl 3000 10% & Argireline 10% – reduces wrinkles, tightening and remodeling the skin.

Microneedling, also known as collagen stimulating therapy and is a non-surgical, professional treatment for skin rejuvenation. The concept of skin needling is based on the skin’s natural ability to repair itself whenever it encounters physical damage such as cuts, burns and other abrasions. Immediately after an injury occurs to the skin our body releases growth factors to repair damaged collagen and elastin fibres and reproduce new skin cells.

Skin needling uses a device with tiny needles to cause controlled micro-injuries to the skin. This triggers growth factors and collagen synthesis to rejuvenate the skin, targeting a wide range of concerns.

By approximately the age of 30, we will begin to lose collagen at a rate of 1% a year. Collagen is an essential protein, naturally abundant in our dermis which gives strength to the skin, preventing wrinkles, fine lines and broken capillaries. This treatment works amazingly well for anyone looking to reduce signs of ageing such as wrinkles, and those who wish to reduce scarring, acne scarring and pitting in the skin.

The treatment is very bearable. We do not use a numbing cream as this treatment is very bearable and clients are able to manage the discomfort. Initially you will feel the needles but after some time it becomes much more comfortable.

Typically a course of 3-6 sessions is recommended. However improvements can be noticeable in the skin after just 1 treatment. The amount of sessions required depends on the results you wish to achieve. Your goals will be discussed during your skin consultation.

Immediately after the treatment, the skin will be red and feel hot – similar to the feeling of sunburn. This sensation tends to die down after a couple of hours. For the next couple of days, the skin will feel tight and look blotchy. This can be easily covered with a mineral make up or tinted SPF. After care products are compulsory to purchase on your first visit and should be used for 3 days after your treatment to aid skin healing and repair. These are also available to purchase separately when you need them and how to use them will be explained to you during your treatment.

It is important that your skin is prepped for a treatment like microneedling. To ensure you get the optimum benefits from this treatment, we prefer for you to be a current client of ours. Using key ingredients such as vitamin A, vitamin C and AHA’s on your skin will boost your skin’s ability to heal and regenerate. Microneedling is one of the most effective treatments on the market – but it is only as effective as the home-care you apply and the lifestyle you live.

1 treatment a month and at least a course of 3 if not more. The client must use the home care Calming Bliss and Repair Gel for 3 days after the treatment and ideally our Hyaluronic acid & Bioplacenta serums as these will further help the skin heal beautifully during the healing process.
